THE GOODNESS OF GOD

GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME . All the time, God is good. This is one statement that is very common among believers. Our understanding of God is very key in all we do as believers. God is invisible. This invisible God has finally been revealed in Christ.

The truth about the nature of God that we see in Christ. We can never understand the character of God except in Christ. Christ is the definition of the character of God. Any God that we can not see His traits in Christ cannot be the true God.

1 John 5: 20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

The coming of Jesus is to give us understanding about God. The true God is who we see in Jesus . Amidst the trouble that the whole world is facing, many have said it is God punishing the whole world . Some said , it is God showing that He is more powerful that all the world powers and science. All these can never be true because we didn’t see them in Christ.

Who did Jesus kill or made sick to show His power?

How many world destructions did Jesus cause or use in His time to show His power ?

Indeed none of these . Therefore, we know that God is not the cause of corona virus and God is not using the virus to show His power to anyone. Though men can learn to recognize God’s power in this world pandemic, it is not God teaching them lesson. They should have learnt that without any outbreak of sickness. God doesn’t chastise or correct or teach with the stripes of satan like sicknesses.

Many times , our concept of power is in evil. Jesus with all His power was busy doing good. He was healing all that were oppressed of the devil. Real power is seen in saving men not in causing destructions or teaching with evil

Acts 10

38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

The power and the anointing of Jesus while He was on earth was in healing those oppressed of the devil. So we see that it is the devil that oppresses people with sicknesses and evils. Corona virus is an evil caused by the devil and the works of men. Any evil we see on earth is either a product of men, the devil or the fallen world. It has nothing to do with God. The earth has been given to the sons of men.

THE POWER OF GOD IN CHRIST is seen in healing sicknesses and providing solutions. We know one thing is sure, Jesus heals and he told us to lay hand on the sick. That is the certainty of God’s power. God is not busy proofing any point of His power. God is not a man who needs to proof a point with any disease. God’s power is in His mercy. God’s power is in His wisdom never in destructions. Therefore let us NOT attribute any evil to God. Also note that the power of God is not against the wisdom of God. God is NOT in any way against taking precautions to avoid the spread of the virus.

Most importantly, don’t be bound with fear. Put your gaze on God’s word. Faith and protection in Christ is not automatic. Set out time to stay on God’s word. Then be deliberate about declaring God’s word. We live in safety. Psalm 91 is our reality. SURELY , GOD does delivers .

Surely , He delivers us from noisome pestilence.

Psalm 91: 3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

Psalms 91

 1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

 2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

 3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

 4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

 5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

 6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

 7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

 8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

 9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

 10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

 11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

 12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

 13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

 14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

 15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

 16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

In the words of Rev'd. Eghosa Alvin Osunde, We live in Psalm 91.

Note verse 10 also NO PLAGUE shall come near our dwellings.

We and our families are preserved. These realities are activated by SAYING. Verse two says, YOU SHALL SAY OF THE LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress. Let these be in your consciousness. Let it be your meditations and your declarations

God is truly good all the time . Even in the time of the pandemic, God is Good. God heals . God preserves. God truly delivers .

There is no economic situation that can change the nature of God. God is seeing in helping us. God can never be found in anything evil hardship.

God can only be found in Christ.

If it can be seen in Jesus, it can be seeing in God.

Rely on God’s help and goodness now and forever. Be convinced that GOD CAN NEVER BE FOUND IN EVIL.

GOD IS HERE AND READY TO HELP YOU. So take advantage of the word as the Spirit. Pray and trust the Lord following His leading.
