  DOING THE WORD AS A BELIEVER

God’s word regulates everything about us as believers from the new birth experience to everything we do after being born again.

First, we get saved by believing in the gospel (word) which we heard and we receive the Spirit.

1 Peter

 23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

So a man that hears the gospel and does not believe can not be saved. Though being born again is a great blessing, the whole world is not enjoying the blessing because not all have believed the gospel.

The same thing applies to every instruction in the written word .

ON PRAYERS

1 Thessalonians

We are told to pray without season as believers. You will never enjoy the benefits of prayers if you don’t pray. Prayer has several benefits. it keeps us in God’s Will. it helps us to better manifest the spirit. We deal with issues in prayers and most importantly, we fellowship with our father in prayers. So to see all of these benefits/blessings as a believer, PRAY.

ON PREACHING THE WORD

Mark 16

15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

2 Timothy 4

2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

We are told to preach the gospel in season and out of season. This we must do to enjoy the blessing thereof. When we give ourselves to preaching, we see more men saved . We will have less wickedness in our area the moment we take preaching the gospel and discipleship as a serious business. The next time you see an unsaved person or a believer acting like an unbeliever, what you should be in your mind is your role to get men saved and disciple them. So, you want to see these blessings of having more believers among many other blessings of preaching the word, You should PREACH ALWAYS.

We have several other instructions given to us as believers.

We are to

• GIVE always

• STUDY THE WORD

• HONOUR ALL MEN And give double honour to your pastor

• ATTEND CHURCH MEETINGS regularly

• WALK IN LOVE at all time

• DESIRE spirituals

• And Many other instructions.

As believers, we must always allow God’s word to regulate all we do. OBEY God’s word. Be an obedient child of God that you are by new birth.

For any of these clear instructions, you don’t need a “thus says the Lord” to know whether you should do them or not . You can only be helped /guided by God to do it better or how you can do them. You boarded a bus, you don’t need to ask God

SHOULD I PREACH? When you have clear instructions that you should PREACH the word in season and out of season.

DO THE WORD

BE A BELEIVER
