ETERNAL SATISFACTION

        ETERNAL SATISFACTION

People have different views of what they call satisfaction. To some, money is satisfaction, to others women is. To some others,  it is comfort. Though there is a level of satisfaction in all of these, but, they are temporal. We have had rich people kill themselves even inspite of their wealth. People keep wondering how could a man that rich kill himself? We have had people with several women and comforts at their disposal kill themselves. All these shows us that there is a satisfaction that one can get from these things and there is satisfaction beyond all of these. This satisfaction is what We have in Christ Jesus. Christ is the ETERNAL SATISFACTION. There is a place in man that only God in Christ can fill. If you like have all the money and luxuries which is not bad, but they can never bring COMPLETE satisfaction as that found in Christ. In John  6, Jesus after feeding a great multitude with five loaves and two fishes, the next day the men came to look for him. See the reply of Jesus to them.
John 6
26 Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.
27  Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed. note
34  Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.
35  And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
Here Jesus refers to Himself as the bread of life. Notice the emphasis, HE THAT COMES TO ME SHALL NEVER HUNGER, HE THAT BELIEVES IN ME SHALL NEVER THIRST. Believing in Jesus is what quenches the thirst of mankind. Christ is the eternal satisfaction. In the preceding verses Jesus explains what He means by eating His flesh and drinking His blood.
63  It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
By eating His flesh and drinking His blood, Jesus means receiving His Spirit. This is the SPIRIT we receive when we believe in Jesus. This is the eternal satisfaction we have in Christ.
Jesus also shows Himself as the eternal satisfaction in John Chapter 4, when He was with the Samaritan  woman at the well. He asked the woman of water and see what He said to the woman.
10  Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water
13.....Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
14  But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
Notice verse 14, shall never THIRST. The all satisfaction is in Him.
WHEN A MAN RECEIVES JESUS HE HAS ALL OF GOD IN CHRIST.

"THE MORE OF YOU SYNDROME"
There is this syndrome among some Christians. It is the syndrome of wanting more of GOD. This is as a result of UNBELIEF OR IGNORANCE OF THE WORD. When a man is born again, he has all of God.  For more on this, click to read my post on GOD IN MAN. Jesus promised in John 14:23 that anybody that keeps His saying which is to believe in Him, He and the father will come have their abode in Him. This is fulfilled at New birth  by the Spirit and life we have received.
Colossians 2
9  For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
10  And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
We are COMPLETE IN CHRIST. The word complete pleroo means to level up, to be full, to accomplish, to be fulfilled. It was used as fulfil in many places of the Bible like Matt 2 :17, 27:9, Mark 1;9, it was also used as FILLED in Luke 4:20, 3:5, Acts 5;3, Romans 15:14. In Christ we are FILLED AND FULFILLED. We have all of God.
The question is WHICH MORE ARE YOU LOOKING FOR? Is it another Spirit? Or another Jesus? Any message that makes you want more without pointing to what you have IS NOT OF GOD. We have many songs in this line of drawing more, asking for more, drawing close. Many of these SONGS ARE EMBALMMED IN UNBELIEF AND IGNORANCE. Though these songs make people emotional and want to cry doesn’t mean they are  correct. Such songs only make you feel Goosebumps.
But man of God are you now saying WE SHOULDN'T WANT MORE OF GOD? Yes. Yes. Yes. WE have all of God already. The only more of GOD we can ask of is KNOWLEDGE. It is to know more of what we have in Christ, what we can do and who we are. This is what we see in scriptures as desires and prayers.
Ephesians 1: 17  That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: note
18  The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19  And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, note
20  Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21  Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22  And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
23  Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

Ephesians 3:  14  For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15  Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
16  That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
17  That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
18  May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
19  And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God
ALL THESE ARE PRAYERS OF KNOWLEDGE of what you have already. Not prayers of wanting more of GOD. It is highly anti scriptural in the new testament to ask for more of God in that you have all of Him.
The Other aspect of the  prayers we see in the epistles are prayers of expressions. These expressions are based on knowledge. Colossians 1: 9  For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
10  That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
11  Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
We can pray that what we have in Christ be more expressed. This is the more. And these expressions are based on who you are already. Before you think of more, how much do you KNOW OF THE ALL YOU HAVE. In Christ ALL OF MAN'S THIRST IS QUENCHED ETERNALLY.
This must be a KNOWING Not a feeling. You may say, I don’t feel as if I have God in me. You are not told to feel BUT TO KNOW.
1John 5:
10  He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
11  And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
12  He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
13  These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may KNOW that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
Notice the emphasis again, you ought to know you have eternal life.

In Conclusion, all the cries for more we see reading through the old testament are met in Christ. When we read through the prophets, and the psalms and see the cries, we should rejoice and be glad to be in the generation that has witnessed the fulfilment of those longings.

GLORY TO GOD

CHRIST IS OUR ETERNAL SATISFACTION,

CHRIST IS OUR ETERNAL FULFILMENT,

IN HIM, WE THIRST NO MORE,

IN HIM, WE HAVE ALL THE FULLNESS OF GOD,

IN HIM, WE HAVE BEEN MADE PARTAKERS OF DIVINITY,

IN HIM WE ARE FULL OF GOD,

IN HIM, WE ARE COMPLETE, WANTING NOTHING, and

IN HIM, WE ARE THOROUGHLY FURNISHED.
